02 · Mission

Why We Exist.

In our neighborhood, stray cats were everyone’s problem — which meant they were no one’s. Litters born under porches. Colonies doubling every season. Sympathy everywhere; systems nowhere.

We decided noticing wasn’t enough. So we built the system ourselves: humane trapping, veterinary partnerships, structured rehoming — run entirely by students, and documented like a real operation. Because it is one.

  • Rescue.

Injured, abandoned, or too young to survive — we respond, stabilize, shelter.

  • TNR.

Trap-Neuter-Return: the only humane, proven way to stop colonies from growing.

  • Rehome.

Vetted adopters. Careful matches. Forever homes, not temporary fixes.

What We Build.

Building the Cat Shelter

We didn’t buy a shelter. We built one. Donated lumber, borrowed tools, and six weekends of student labor became an insulated, weatherproof recovery space — designed, budgeted, and constructed by teenagers who’d never held a drill before.

Medical Care: Vet Partnerships

We cold-emailed twelve clinics. One said yes. That single partnership now covers discounted spay/neuter surgeries, vaccinations, and emergency care — proof that persistence is a fundraising strategy.

Daily Operations

Rescue runs on routine. Feeding rotations before first period. Trap checks after school. A shared spreadsheet tracking every cat, every dollar, every volunteer hour. Compassion, systematized.

05 · Founder

The Person Behind It.

I started this organization the winter I found a litter of kittens freezing behind my school’s gymnasium. I had no funding, no transportation, and no idea what “TNR” meant. What I had was a problem I couldn’t unsee — and a belief that students don’t need permission to solve things.

Building this taught me that compassion without systems burns out. So we built systems: a vet partnership won through months of cold emails, a shelter raised from donated lumber, a volunteer rotation that survives exam season. When our first fundraiser fell short, I learned to budget. When a rescue didn’t make it, I learned to grieve and keep going anyway.

This work isn’t glamorous. It’s early mornings, spreadsheet logistics, and hard conversations with skeptical neighbors. But it taught me what leadership actually is: showing up, again and again, for lives that can’t thank you.
